My First Haircut!

Mom & Daddy took me for my first haircut today. I was really still and quiet while the lady cut it, and for some reason Mom wanted to save my hair in an envelope! I wonder if she's going to try and put it back on? After my hair was done, I got a red lolly-pop for being so good.

St. Patrick's Day

We had a nice St. Patrick's Day on Tuesday. Mom made some chicken soup, and Grandpa came over for dinner after work. I wore my Celtic jersey all day, and Mom had her nails done in Celtic colors!

I'm Home!

Mom and Dad and I came home from Tofino yesterday afternoon. After we left the resort we made a few stops at different beaches nearby. Combers Beach was an excellent spot to find large shells and driftwood, but the 1.5 km. hike up the hill to the car was quite a workout. Dad had to carry me up the steepest parts and we had a full bucket of heavy treasures to bring too! We also stopped to see McKenzie Beach and Middle Beach. They didn't have as many little gems as Long Beach or Cox Bay,..but still very beautiful.
Right now it is snowing pretty hard at my house. We have about four inches of the fluffy white stuff sticking to the ground. The daffodil shoots are just poking out enough to get a little air. I'm really looking forward to spring! (I think Mom & Dad are tad anxious too!)

My First Visit to Long Beach

Today I took my first trek down Long Beach.
The magnificent Pacific Rim National Park is the only national park on Vancouver Island, providing protection for substantial rain forests and an amazing marine environment. The full force of the mighty Pacific Ocean mercilessly pounds the constantly changing shores of this rugged coastline. This territory has a significant history, having been inhabited by the Nuu-chah-nulth people for thousands of years.
It took a long time to get back to the car, and at one point I had to sit and rest. I'll have a warm bath when we return,...and some hot soup. Then it's nap time!

Picnic at Sunset Point

Yesterday Mom and Dad and I hiked through the woods to Sunset Point for lunch. There was a neat little cove there with millions of tiny little shells. By the end of the day, the clouds disappeared and we watched a beautiful sunset. This morning is cold and clear. Looks like it will be an awesome day!
